Abstract:The reclaimed ultra-soft soil is characterized by high moisture content,high void ratio,high compressibility and low strength,and the engineering experiment of it is essential and difficult for the investigation work.Taking the reclaimed ultra-soft soil in Dalian as the study case,we carry out standard consolidation tests of several samples with different water contents in laboratory. By studying the relationship between the moisture content and the consolidation coefficient & the secondary consolidation coefficient as well,we hope to guide the engineering practice of the ultra-soft soil foundation treatment.
