    Abstract:

The high pile wharf built in 1970s and 1980s is easy to rust and expand of beam slab reinforcement in splash area due to the long-term chloride corrosion environment, which leads to the longitudinal cracking and falling off of concrete. In order to ensure the safety of the wharf structure, this type of beam needs to be repaired and reinforced.Based on the actual wharf repair and reinforcement project,we introduce two kinds of repair and reinforcement methods including enlarging beam section and pasting carbon fiber cloth, and carry out the comparative analysis of the two methods from four aspects of application scope, construction efficiency, quality and cost. The results show that enlarging section method is more suitable than pasting carbon fiber cloth method, but pasting carbon fiber cloth method has obvious advantages in construction efficiency, cost, construction difficulty and quality controllability.
