Abstract:The displacement based seismic design method is often used in the seismic design of suspended jetty structure in the highly seismic zone. The sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) can cause serious corrosion to steel pipe piles in a very short period of time.Three main anti-corrosion measures are proposed for the corrosion mechanism of SRB,and three different engineering application options of physical anti-corrosion method are compared and studied.Based on the design of a container terminal project in Manila,Philippines,we carry out the push-over analysis for the three options respectively by using the control variable method. Results show that the coating protection option and the partial concrete infill option have a better structural ductility and larger structural resistance, and may serve as reference for the structural design under similar engineering environment.
