    Abstract:

    Combing with a coal-fired power plant in Bangladesh Jetty Port project,relevant National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and Chinese fire protection codes are compared and analyzed in terms of fire protection system and the system’s parameters. The fire protection system is designed respectively based on NFPA and Chinese fire protection codes,and the hydraulic calculations are also provided. The results show that NFPA standards are stricter than Chinese codes in terms of fire protection facilities,fire design flow and system pressure. The research results can provide reference for the fire protection design of the overseas power plant’s coal jetty.
