    Abstract:

    Natural slope and engineering embankments are common in many oversea projects (such as breakwater,revetment and channel etc.),and prominent deformation is usually found in strong seismic condition.Aiming at this problem,Chinese and international technical standards propose pseudo-static method,Newmark method and time-history method.According to different methods and judgement criteria,based on the analysis conclusion of slope stability and displacement of a backfill land area project in overseas,we apply the sliding arc stability analysis,empirical formula of earthquake displacement and time history displacement analysis to carry out the comprehensive analysis and demonstration of the scheme.The results show that the judgement criterias of design methods in Chinese and international standards are slightly different,but all of them can better rely on the actual situation and conform to the overall safety reserve.
