    Abstract:

Shuiniuhan ship lock is the upstream step of re-navigable project of Xiaoqing River.Due to the lack of water resource along the re-navigable project of Xiaoqing River,Shuiniuhan ship lock should need water-saving function.According to the topographical conditions of the lock site and considering the need for the future construction of the ship lock,we propose the overall layout of the Shuiniuhan ship lock with a single-level water-saving pool.In accordance with the requirements of Design Code for Filling and Emptying System of Ship and the characteristics of the re-navigable project of Xiaoqing River,we put forward the type of lock head filling and emptying system of Shuiniuhan ship lock to be short-culvert concentrated, connect the water-saving pool to the upper and lower lock head by a water conveyance corridor respectively, determine the detailed layout of the filling and empting system and the valve opening mode, and calculate hydraulic characteristics during lock filling and emptying with non-water-saving and water-saving operations by lock filling and emptying mathematical model. The results show that the detailed layout of the filling and empting system and the valve opening mode are reasonable, the hydraulic characteristics can satisfy the design and criteria demands.
