Abstract:Aiming at the problems of the wave incoming and mooring stability in the new planning port area of Weifang Port,we apply the numerical simulation method of the cascade nested wave,study the wave refraction and diffraction in Weifang Port’s central and western port areas under the recurrence period of two years.The results show that under the functions of wave in ENE and NE direction,the small gate and big abdomen port area can significantly reduce incoming wave intensity from the entrance to the belly,and the specific wave height of most waters in wharf area is under 0.3.Meanwhile,the wave heights of H4% of two feature points at the entrance of middle port area are relatively large to 0.86 m,and the specific wave height at the top of central port area is rapidly reduced to below 0.2.Waves in the western port area are mainly wind waves.The wave heights of H4% of west port area at feature points range are from 0.46 m to 0.66 m,and the specific wave height at the top of western port area is rapidly reduced to below 0.1.Each berth can satisfy the stable condition.
