    Abstract:

    The latest version of Load Code for Harbor Engineering does not consider the influence of small flow angle on flow force of tanker.However,flow force of tanker is closely related with flow velocity and angle.In order to meticulous study on the influence law,based on physical model experiment,we analyze the change regulation of flow force of 300,000 DWT tanker when the flow velocities are 1.0 m/s,1.5 m/s and 2.0 m/s and flow angle is between 0° and 15°.The results show that both horizontal and vertical flow force of tanker increase with increasing current velocity.Besides,the vertical force is almost identical to the computed result according to the code when the current angle is between 0° and 15°.The lateral force is about 2 times the computed value.
