    Abstract:

The design of bottom blocks should be paid attention to when revetment is constructed in the sloping rock foundation area in shallow water. The waves will break over the bottom blocks and the plunging breaker will drag the bottom blocks off the coast, which can lead to the instability of bottom blocks and the sliding of armor blocks.Combining with scheme design of revetment reinforcement project and the physical model of reinforcement revetment,we propose two measures to be taken into consideration in the bottom blocks design, which include increasing the bottom block weight and increasing the sea surface roughness.Lengthening the length of bottom blocks and increasing buried depth can also be used in the project when they are possible.
