    Abstract:

By the conventional vacuum preloading method,it is easy to form a lard layer of a certain thickness on the surface and the consolidation effect for the lower soil is poor. So,based on an engineering project,a field experimental research is carried out.The pressurized vacuum preloading method is adopted and a comparison is conducted between it and the conventional vacuum preloading method to further analyze the reinforcement mechanism and effect. The research result shows that the pressurized vacuum preloading method can not only meet reinforcement requirements by the conventional vacuum preloading reinforcement method, but also be characterized by a lower soil moisture content, quick dissipation of pore pressure, large settlement, high bearing capacity,as well as quick increase of foundation soil strength, which may shorten the construction period while improving the soil reinforcement effect. Thus it is a feasible solution for consolidating the newly filled soil.
