    Abstract:

This paper introduces appropriate BIM design survey methods for Mengtze junction second line shiplock project in measurement & survey phases and the results processing methods, expounds the idea on the 3D modeling for the shiplock, analyzes the two cooperative modes of software REVIT,and proposes a cooperative model applicable to the ship lock engineering,i.e.dividing the project model into several sub-models and using a collaborative approach which combines working sets and dynamic links to design. This paper also analyzes the data exchange between BIM model and finite element calculation software.According to the requirements of standardized design to improve design quality and efficiency,a family library is created and a family manager is developed, and initially the Ship lock BIM Design Guide is compiled.
