According to the requirements of data exchange in the field of waterway transport infrastructure,the International Data Description Exchange Standard (IFC) was introduced.Based on its characteristics of openness,sharing and extensibility, a technical roadmap for the implementation of IFC standards for waterway transport infrastructure was proposed.According to this route,the data exchange requirements analysis,data classification,data encoding in waterway transport infrastructure were verified and practiced.This system approach can meet the research requirements of IFC technology in waterway transport engineering,ensure the smooth implementation of the research on IFC standards for waterway transport infrastructure,and provide technical support for IFC research and practice in other domain of infrastructure.
