For the problem of scour on the spur dike head,the scouing mechanism and the main influencing factors are discussed in this paper,based on the protection project of the spur dike in right bank of Jumuna River in Bangladesh.Based on the basic theory of river dynamics,this paper puts forward the measures to improve the protection of the spur dike head.Using the method of prototype observation,the effective protection research of the spur dike head is carried out,and the proposed method is effective.
