    Abstract:

With the continuous operation of the Three Gorges reservoir, the regulation of bed making in the lower reaches of the river has changed, and the river bed has been washed and silted. Based on the latest prototype observation data of the reach after construction of the Gorges project in 2003—2016,we analyze the changes about the channel bed. The results show that the water channel has the tendency of erosion and silting in low beach, which can have adverse effects on the boundary conditions of the channel itself. It is very likely to affect the inflow conditions of the Huguang waterway. On the basis of analysis, we make a forecast of the trend of waterway channel condition, and believe that the current favorable channel condition exists in the negative direction under the natural action. The results can provide reference for the channel regulation ideas and engineering design in the project.
