The difference analysis of geotechnical investigation code in China,America and Europe is carried out.By using the classification comparison method,the similarities and differences between Chinese standard and American and European standards in indoor soil classification and in-situ test method are analyzed.There are differences among China,the United States and Europe in the independence and integration of geotechnical specifications,but they have more in common.From the development of engineering practice,they will eventually become unified.
