To adapt to the economic and social development,improve the utilization rate of coastal resources,promote the enterprise competitiveness,lower the cost of logistics transportation,and accommodate larger-sized vessel,it is imperative to strengthen and reconstruct the existing wharf facilities for safe operation of the wharves built in the 1990s.In this paper,through analysis on the local strengthening and reconstruction method of piled wharves,we find that local strengthening and reconstruction technology is appropriate for many wharves built in the 1990s.The conclusion is also illustrated by examples,and can provide experience and reference for the design and construction of strengthening and reconstruction on wharf structures of this type.
