Taking Guandaoqi beach as a study case, this paper analyzes the damage causes of the root of spur dike on gravel bed, and proposes corresponding repair measures. The analysis indicates that we shall not only ensure the dike root embedded into the initial landform by foundation trench, but also take other measures such as slope protection or stop protector to protect the dike root.
