    Abstract:

    The steel-tube-concrete combined bearing inland overhead vertical wharf was built up adapting to the complex geologic-hydrologic conditions and construction environment during 175 m water storage of the Three Gorges. Meanwhile, a numerical model was established under consideration of steel tube-R. C. concrete combined bearing. By comparing test data with numerical results, we verified the reliability of the model and further proposed the element’s unit load combination, which was used to investigate the mechanical performance of this kind of wharf under complicated conditions. Moreover, the weak part and reinforcement were proposed.
