    Abstract:

Based on the rise of the demand for the trade transportation, ports of East Asia are becoming the leader of global supply chain system. But in the meantime several problems exist, so the trade cost could be reduced further. Firstly, the performance and competition of East Asia’s ports are focused from the angle of global supply chain, and the position of Chinese ports is emphasized especially. It is concluded that East Asia’s ports will expand investment continuously to make the supply meet the demand, the recombination of global supply chain caused by the earthquake in Japan would result in the structural change of port logistics, and East Asia’s economy will strengthen port cooperation to accommodate regional integration.
