The developed capsule car is capable of carrying caissons of 7 000 t or even 10 000 t. Based on the successful practice of this technology in the large-scale projects in Qingdao, this paper introduces the key technology of caisson launching and installation, to serve as a reference for the launching and installation super large caissons.
