Abstract:The hydraulic structures for the ore terminal in Dongjiakou port area include 300000 DWT(marine structures designed for 400 000 DWT) ore berth, 200 000 DWT bulk cargo berth, approaching bridge, embankment, revetment etc. The 300 000 DWT ore berth locates in the open sea, and faces complicated wave and current, conditions, large engineering quantities, and poor construction conditions. This paper analyzes the characteristics and innovation of hydraulic structures from the natural conditions, construction period and operational requirements, and presents some design experience for similar projects.
