    Abstract:

    Based on the design of grain and general cargo berth of Guangzhou port, we analyze the variation characteristics of port water pressure of saturated compacted sand during driving engineering, and put forward the design and construction method, i.e., heavy hammer-low blow to increase the blow frequency, continuous hamming to guarantee a higher pore water pressure of soil around the pile, reduction of the side friction in soil around the pile ,and increase of the thickness of the pile into the compacted sand. We also carry out a specific research on the design and construction control technique for the cross joints of three different kinds of wharf structural types, and propose a new U-shape connecting and filtering structure for the joints of gravity wharf and sheet pile wharf.
