    Abstract:

    This paper studies the wave crest height of the single pillar and group pillars by wave physical model test and puts forward the experiential calculation formula on the maximal wave crest height of pillar wharf in the different conditions. The research results indicate that the wave crest height is related to the wave height, the distance from the centre of a cylindrical pillar to the centre of the border upon cylindrical pillar, as well as the wave length and wave incidence angle. The research achievement may serve as a good reference for the design of surface elevation of the pillar quay in the open sea.
