    Abstract:

    This paper introduces a combination of electro-osmotic dewatering with dewatering which is used to reduce the groundwater level. Moreover, and which is implemented together with the dynamic consolidation method. The field observation of groundwater level and the pore water pressure showed that the groundwater level and the pore water pressure dropped fasterly using the electro-osmotic dewatering than that using dewatering. The field test showed that the electro-osmotic dewatering combined with the dynamic consolidation can significantly improve the foundation reinforcement effect.
