Since the E-channel chart of the Yangtze River has been completed, timely data update after the movement of navigation aids has been the key to make full use of the advantages of the E-channel chart of the Yangtze River. This paper introduces the data update program of the E-channel chart of the Yangtze River,discusses the realization methods of the data update, which provides some references for the software research of the data update.
