    Abstract:

    It is popular that many high-piled wharves are damaged by overloading of the horizontal,especially for the wharves which have been used for a long period. The main representation is the damage of forked piles which are mainly used for supplying the horizontal force. Establishing a finite element numerical model, we got the worst force scenarios of the forked piles by the perpendicular and sensitivity analysis. Two methods of forked piles reinforcement, pile-cap reinforcement and pile reinforcement, are introduced respectively.
