The design parameters of channel turn include the turn radius, the turn width increase, the turn type, the distance between two successive bends, etc. The major factors which influence the design of channel turn are analyzed, and different design methods are compared. Based on the results of ship manoeuvring simulator examination, the design parameters of channel turn are given.
