Abstract:In view of the problems such as the limited overall layout space of the expanded ship lock, the difficulty in ensuring the navigable water flow conditions, and the larger scale of navigable vessels on large canals, the navigable water flow conditions of the expanded ship locks connected to large canals are often even worse. On the basis of a proposed ship lock project, through the overall hydraulic physical model test of the ship lock with a geometric scale of 130,the feasibility of the connection between the expanded ship lock and the large canal is demonstrated. The flow field structure and the mooring force characteristics of the ship under different combination layouts of the cantilever and the force dissipation threshold in the energy dissipation open channel are studied, and the mooring stability conditions of the ship lock chamber are optimized. The results show that by optimizing the structural layout of the force dissipation threshold at the spillway, the goal of improving the berthing stability conditions of the downstream approach channel's berthing section can be achieved by moderately reducing the side flow rate of the berthing section without changing the overall outflow pattern of the approach channel. The water conveyance system type of “gate wall long corridor side branch holes+open channel energy dissipation” is feasible. The optimized hydraulic indicators of the ship lock meet the requirements of the specifications and design, and can take into account the navigation needs of large canal vessels in the long term.
